Strava integration
Neil Benson
Another vote for Calistree creating a Strava activity at the end of a session.
Keith Holt
This might be useful as it implies that an integration to Calistree from Strava or with 'Health' could be troublesome.

Keith Holt Thanks for the link! We're not planning to integrate directly with any third-party tool, only with Health (secure native platform to exchange and centralize health data). We'll be able to show Strava data (or show our data in Strava) only through this intermediary.

Victor B. Thanks for the suggestion!
Would the goal be to show Strava workouts in Calistree?
Our plan is to:
- add steady-state cardio activities to the app (running, cycling, swimming, rowing, etc...): https://feedback.calistree.com/requests/p/add-steady-state-cardio-activities
- import data from "Health" (which Strava needs to export to) and show it as imported sessions in Calistree: https://feedback.calistree.com/requests/p/health-data-import
Once everything is in place, then Strava workouts will appear in Calistree and be taken in account for your muscle fatigue and experience profiles.
How does that sound to you?
Victor B.
Louis Deveseleer Personally i think other activities would be interesting...but I wouldnt use this app to track it. My other activities are tracked by my Garmin and then garmin publish the data to strava. So essentially all my fitness activities report to strava (exept Calistree for now). I think your app is amazing and i would keep the focus on calisthenics rather than diverging to god knows where... you can loose your focus real quick when you start integrating other activities.
My 2 cents.

Victor B. Thanks for your answer! I understand you want to export Calistree's activities to Strava now. I'll need to do some research because I've never tried to do that. But Calistree can already export activities to Health, which is the centralized and secure on-device platform to exchange health data between apps, and the only data exchange mechanism we're supporting because it's the safest. If Strava can import data from health, then it might already be able to display some information.
Would you mind trying that out, or posting some screenshots of the result you're hoping to achieve? (for example with Hevy)
About the future plans: I would still use dedicated apps to track my runs and rides, but I think it would be beneficial to be able to centralize all the activities in Calistree (through automatic imports), to make more accurate analysis of your overall physical development and prevent injuries. Calistree's logic can integrate those without impacting negatively the tracking of its core exercises (calisthenics and movement training).

Louis Deveseleer I can try do do that health export to strava, but i think a direct export from the app wpuld look better if you do directly.
Also, this is an indirect way to promote your app to the strava community. Since all my friends will see that i am tracking calistenics with calistree. They might be introduced to the app this way. Free advertisement!
As you can see Hevy export training session as elapsed time only. Then it generates an image with the muscle group i worked out and provides a text description of my sets and reps for each exercice. I believe this is enough KISS (Simple) to do. In the end Strava keeps track of my weight lifting time for each week and shows it in a dashboard.
If you do integrate running, biking, swimming, you could export those separately as individual activities (even if it was done in the same training block.). This is how garmin does it for Triathlon, three separate activities and strava puts them in their appropriate bin for each.

Victor B. Thanks a lot for the details! This will be useful when we work on extending the integration with Health, as examples of results to achieve.
