Suggestion: Allow supersets with different numbers of sets per exercise.

Right now, when creating a superset, both exercises need to have the same number of sets. But in practice, sometimes people program them differently. For example, I sometimes do weighted pull-ups for 5x5 and superset them with a push exercise for 3–4 sets. It would be great if the app supported this flexibility, so we can program supersets that reflect other training styles.

Pini I'm not sure we should support this. In a superset, all exercises are normally done for the same number of sets. What you're suggesting is easily feasible by skipping sets on-the-fly, but supporting this behavior as a feature might be more confusing than is worth.

Louis Deveseleer I understand. If it’s too much trouble then of course it’s better to not do that. I use the skipping. My suggestion would make this programmable in advance.
Btw, my coach sometimes also superset one exercises with two others. Meaning, for the first 3 sets of the superset exercise A is paired with exercise B and for the last 2 sets exercise A is paired with exercise C. I didn’t mention that because I know it would be too much.
Anyway, as it is working now is great too. Thanks. :)

Pini but you can do that right now. Example: create superset A - 3x weighted pull-ups + pushups. Then create superset B 2x weighted pullups + whatever you like exercise. Adjust timers for those supersets and between supersets. And there you go - you have exactly what you wanted.

Vladimir Maglov yes, we can do that, and sometimes I do that. But, afterwards you don’t see the total number of reps for exercise A together. You end up with two different totals. Anyway, these are all minor things and minor improvements. The app is already great and pretty much the best the way it is, and more importantly, the body doesn’t care how we log things, it just cares about stimulation. 😉

Pini Yes that's actually an issue we need to fix, it's on our list. Once totals and PRs properly handle duplicate exercises, I think that should mostly solve the issue at hand :)

Louis Deveseleer since you mentioned that, I have a related suggestion but maybe it should be here together:
The suggestion is regarding how PRs are displayed in the app. Currently, the app shows two main PRs for an exercise: total reps per set and total reps per exercise in the same session. While the PR for reps per set is very useful, the PR for total reps in a session is not always as informative.
For example, doing an EMOM of 5 pull-ups every minute for 10 minutes totals 50 reps, but that feels much easier than doing 3 sets of 15–17 reps. At least in my opinion. It would be great if the total reps PR could also indicate the number of sets — for instance, “PR of 32 reps in 2 sets” — to make it more meaningful and comparable.

We already have the ability to skip exercise in a set. In the example you have given you can do your 5x5 weighted pull-ups superset them with a push exercise for the same 5 sets and then just skip one or two of those sets.
